Welcome to Module 3: The Call

Refusal and Awakening the Parent Archetypes

← Return to Module 3: The Call, Part 1

This module focuses on the next part of the Heroic Journey – The Call. The Call is a multi-faceted phase of the Heroic Journey- there are several phases within it, so, it will be broken up over the next two modules. For now, we will focus on one aspect of The Call phase, which is "the refusal", when the protagonist finds themselves jolted out of their blissful innocence, and has some questions, doubts and hesitations about heeding The Call that they are hearing. In addition, this module is about learning how, as a mentor, to help guide the people we work with from the child-archetypes to adult-archetypes, so that they will be most fully prepared for the journey that lies ahead. One of the main ways we can do that is by introducing the concept of mindfulness to them, and guiding them into a pain-coping mindset.
